The system did not publish sales in Tape A securities (NYSE-listed) from any exchange in the security symbol range ''''A'''' through ''''L''''. The New York Stock Exchange has provided to the Consolidated Tape System all of its opening prints in the affected symbols, and the Consolidated Tape System has added these prints to the tape with an ''''N'''' exchange modifier, and an ''''OPD'''' trade modifier (indicating an out-of-sequence, opening trade). A file will be posted to the website shortly containing all NYSE opening trades. A subsequent message will be sent out at that time.

Please note that different vendors will process trades marked with ''''OPD'''' differently for VWAP calculations. For example, Bloomberg will include these trades in its VWAP calculation while Thomson Reuters may not. If you have any questions regarding various VWAP calculations or other treatment of ''''OPD'''' trades, please contact your market data vendor.<br><br><a href="http://www.nyxdata.com/announce.asp?id=411">Click here for complete details</a>

NYSE Imbalance Datafeed - NYSE Imbalances outage update

NYSE Imbalances outage update Dear Customer,

Dear Customer,

FINRA announced a change to short interest scheduling several months ago, to the effect that NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ all report short interest on the same day.

They accomplished this by adjusting the NYSE publishing date to be the same as NASDAQ''s schedule.

As such, we are in the first cycle of this new process and the release date for the current cycle is July 10th and not July 7th.

In addition, FINRA has automated the delivery of the data to NYSE therefore we hope to pass on a more robust and consistent delviery of the data than was possible in the past.

The refresh feed will be unvailable for the entire trading day. Production data on both Primary and Secondary feeds are not affected. Retransmissions feeds and requestes are also not affected.

The ArcaBook Refresh feed is for refreshes to the Order Book, Imbalances, Symbol Mappings, and Firm Mappings in response to the refresh request message. The data sent down the Refresh channel provides a current snapshot of the data. For example, customers can receive all open orders for specific symbols by issuing a refresh request via TCP/IP and then listening to the refresh group for the updated book messages.

Multicast is the delivery of data to a group of destinations simultaneously to deliver messages over a network, thus maximizing the use of a client’s connectivity into NYSE Euronext.

ArcaBook Multicast for Equities is available in both a FAST compacted and native binary format. This new feed offers several advantages over the legacy ArcaBook TCP/IP feed. It is faster, more reliable, and requires less bandwidth than the existing TCP/IP version. Based on current capacity projections, the legacy ArcaBook product is no longer capable of handling the increasing message traffic rates. Transitioning to multicast has allowed the product to scale more effectively to handle increases in message traffic and deliver data simultaneously to customers without the potential queuing that would experienced with a TCP/IP feed. In addition to the bandwidth and latency savings, the new multicast feed contains enriched data that is not available in the legacy feed.

Customers are advised to transition to the ArcaBook Multicast for Equities Feed. There is no additional charge for this feed. The <B>legacy TCP/IP ArcaBook feed is tentatively scheduled to be decommissioned in July 2008 </B>and will not continue be supported.
<BR>

Last year, we invested heavily in additional network capacity and optimized production processes that reduced the average arrival time from 4 AM+ to 11 PM. However, recent record volume has caught up with these enhancements. We have renewed efforts to investigate and improve several areas for optimization. We expect some of these to provide an impact as early as next week. Changes with more impact lie further out as result of enterprise-wide system changes that were put in motion last year.

On a separate note, TAQ will soon be available over SFTI in addition to your exiting internet connection. Using SFTI should be cheaper and faster for anyone who has already invested in a connection. Our ftp2west.nysedata.com server is already connected to SFTI and we will begin testing soon. Our objective is to make this an option for customers within a month.

We hope that you can accept the improvements we made last year as evidence that we are committed to keeping pace with these capacity challenges and we will continue to provide regular updates as progress is made.

in High Performance Financial Market Data Management Solutions

--Wombat acquisition enables NYSE Euronext to offer customers comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for low latency trading and connectivity management--

New York, Jan. 14, 2008 – NYSE Euronext (NYSE/Euronext: NYX) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire Wombat Financial Software (Wombat), a privately held global leader in high-performance financial market data management solutions. This strategic acquisition broadens NYSE Euronext’s offering of comprehensive market-agnostic connectivity, transaction and data management solutions to customers globally by integrating Wombat’s industry leading and rapidly growing market data enterprise software and services with the NYSE TransactToolsSM connectivity and messaging business.

Solutions will be delivered both as enterprise software products and as managed services on the NYSE TransactTools Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure (SFTI) network, ranging from hosting co-location for high-speed trading, direct market access (DMA) connectivity and algorithmic execution, and new data products such as integrated and consolidated price feeds. This will significantly reduce the cost and complexity associated with building and managing connectivity for electronic trading.

The NYSE Euronext acquisition of Wombat provides for a number of additional synergies, benefits and opportunities:

•	By adding market-leading data management software to NYSE Euronext’s array of commercial products, the company will be able to integrate and link the messaging and data platforms to offer new solutions for smart order routing, risk management, DMA and other applications;

•	Customer solutions will be delivered as enterprise software products or as managed services on the NYSE TransactTools SFTI network, yielding a more accurate and faster-turning feedback loop on customer needs;

•	Customers will be offered efficient ways to monitor and control their data use and support their administrative tasks;

•	By providing efficient, low latency solutions in high volume data environments, customers will gain improved access to increasingly fragmented, high speed and electronic market models which are emerging as a result of regulatory changes such as MIFID and Reg NMS;

•	This comprehensive suite of products and services will serve to eliminate cost and complexity associated with building and managing connectivity for trading and market-information infrastructures.

Please be aware that while no firm date has been announced at this time, the legacy TCP/IP ArcaBook feed will be decommissioned in first half of 2008 and will not continue be supported.

After significant customer feedback we decided to simplify the ftp directories for the Short Interest semi-monthly.
All files will now be written under the same root directory ftp.nysedata.com/shortint/
(NOTE:the attached Word doc is probably easier to read)

The file is posted in these directories every cycle, i.e. whether it is a mid or end-of-month release.
/shortint/shortint.ext (this is overwritten each time a file is posted so is always the most recent file)
/shortint/shortintYYYY/shortintYYYYMM/shortintYYYYMMDD.ext

where
.ext is the file extension, i.e. .txt for delimited text file, .xls for Excel and .xml for XML
YYYYMMDD is the year, month and *trade date* respectively, e.g. 20071106 is 2007, Nov 6th
The trade date is a date that varies each cycle and is set by FINRA and is visible on this page:
http://www.nysedata.com/nysedata/Default.aspx?TabId=197

Alternatively, the same files are written to indicate whether they are the mid or end of month files.
Mid-month files are posted here:
/shortint/shortintYYYY/shortintYYYYMM/shortintmidYYYYMM.ext

End-of-month files are posted here:
/shortint/shortintYYYY/shortintYYYYMM/shortintendYYYYMM.ext

For automated download of the most recent file we recommend downloading and processing
/shortint/shortint.ext as it will always be the most recent file.
Examples

For Nov 6th, an end-of-month cycle, the same file will be posted to:
/shortint/shortint.ext
/shortint/shortint2007/shortint200711/shortint20071026.ext
/shortint/shortint2007/shortint200711/shortintend200710.ext

Old directory scheme
For your reference this was the previous directory scheme and will not be in use as of Nov 6th, 2007

For the mid-month publishing cycle the path and filename will change to:
/shortintmid/shortintmidYYYY/shortintYYYYMM/shortintmidYYYYMM

For the end of the month publishing cycle, the path and file name will change to:
/shortintend/shortintendYYYY/shortintYYYYMM/shortintendYYYYMM

This is a reminder that the publishing schedule for Short Interest has been changed by FINRA and that today, Oct 4th, is the first time that the data is published on a semi-monthly basis.

The new schedule is available here:
http://www.nysedata.com/nysedata/Default.aspx?TabId=197

To reflect the new schedule, the file naming convention has changed.

For the mid-month publishing cycle the path and filename will change to:
/shortintmid/shortintmid2007/shortint200709/shortintmidYYYYMM

For the end of the month publishing cycle, the path and file name will change to:
/shortintend/shortintend2007/shortint200709/shortintendYYYYMM

For example, the Oct 4th release is posted to
/shortintend/shortintend2007/shortint200709/shortintend200709.txt

Note the data is in a September 200709) directory because the underlying data reflects short interest at the Sep 25th trade date.

We have regenerated the data and now expect the data to be available for download by 7 PM EST.
The trades file was not affected and was available for download 9:46 PM yesterday evening.

We apologize for the inconvenience and greatly appreciate your business.
