| NYSE/Amex Market Data Integration FAQs

|
Does Amex exist as a separate exchange?
Yes. Many of the operations of NYSE and Amex are being merged, but the exchange continues to exist as a separate self-regulatory organization.
Will “Network B” continue to exist?
Yes. Network A (NYSE-listed securites) and Network B (Amex and regional-listed securities) will remain separate, with distinct products and separate entitlements and pricing. However, we are consolidating the invoicing, agreements, vendor reporting, customer support, and many of our policies in order to lower vendor and customer administrative burden.
Will I continue to receive separate market data invoices from NYSE and Amex?
No. Amex accounts are being linked to similar NYSE accounts so that Network B (Amex) charges will appear as a separate section on your NYSE invoice. Going forward, you will need to reconcile and pay only one invoice. Please note that Network B invoice charges will no longer be billed in advance, but rather, billing will be done based on the current month’s inventory in accordance with the NYSE policies.
Will I be able to access my NYSE/Amex invoice online?
Not currently. We plan to offer additional functionality in the near future that will enable you to view your combined Amex and NYSE invoice online.
Do I need to execute new vendor or subscriber agreements for Network B?
No. For current vendors and subscribers, there will be no need to re-execute existing agreements. Any agreement executed with the Amex prior to the close will continue to be valid.
Can I use the NYSE Prior Approval system for Amex customers?
Yes. Vendors are able to use the existing NYSE prior approval system for entitling professional subscribers for Amex data.
Can I still use the Amex online Exhibit A process?
The Amex online Exhibit A process is no longer available. However, we are working towards offering an enhanced, more streamlined online Exhibit A process for both Amex and NYSE that should be operational shortly.
Do I need to report separately to NYSE and Amex?
No. Vendors will no longer be required to report separately to NYSE and Amex. All reporting will be consolidated and reported to NYSE. Vendors that report via VRXML will be able to include Amex market data usage on the same report as NYSE usage. Vendors that report through TCB Data can continue to report in exactly the same way they do today and TCB Data will convert the Amex usage report into VRXML. Vendors that use the NYSE website to report will be able to report Amex usage through the same website. If you are responsible for reporting usage, you will be contacted directly with more specific information about the changes to reporting.
Who should I contact if I have questions about the integration?
A special toll free phone number has been set up to handle inquiries related to the integration. The number is (877) 462-8891 for domestic callers or (212) 656-5616 for international callers. |
